Testing Methodology

Food In-Depth tests multiple birds from every chicken house. Birds are selected randomly from every house at between 28 and 45 days of age. Testing is conducted on the liver, kidney and muscle tissue. Results are available immediately after testing.

Testing To Date

The FoodID testing platform has been used since March 2020 to test for the presence of antibiotics and other substances in Cooks Venture's pasture-raised heirloom chickens. In testing every flock for Cooks Venture production, no birds have tested positive to date.
